• Make sure to hold the bottom of the box and not the sides when carrying for extra support. 
• Keep cake level and flat. Car floor works best. Avoid lap as this can be unlevel and not sturdy. Also the heat from the lap can affect the dessert.  
• Be cautious of loose items that may damage your order. 
• Drive cautiously. If possible avoid bumpy roads and sudden stops. As I tell my customers: "Drive as if your grandma is in the front seat in her Sunday best holding a big jug of ice tea without a lid." 
• Avoid leaving in hot car. The items do not like the heat!

AT YOUR DESTINATION

• Avoid direct sunlight if possible. We may like the sun but these yummies do not. Keep in a cool environment.
• Keep refrigerated if possible but do not remove from the box to avoid moisture, especially on fondant designs. Take out of the refrigerator approximately an hour before serving but leave in the box as it will absorb the condensation as it changes to room temperature.  About 15 mins before serving is the best time to remove from box.  
• Dowels, wires, and toothpicks are inserted sometimes for support so be careful when cutting.  
• Cakes should always be placed on a sturdy table or surface. If you are using a cake stand, make sure the stand is at least 1 inch larger in diameter than the cake board.  
• If you have any leftovers, wrap well with plastic and store in refrigerator. Bring to room temperature before serving. But why would you have any leftovers? It is desserts after all hahahah!
